70s TV star with political message on his cap: Can you spot him?

Mike Farrell, best known for his role as BJ Hunnicutt on the cult sitcom MASH, was recently spotted in Los Angeles doing everyday chores like yard work and taking out the trash. The 85-year-old actor was dressed in modern attire, complete with a baseball cap that read, “Make America Normal Again.”

Farrell’s portrayal of the warm and witty Army doctor on MASH cemented his place in television history. Joining the show in season four, he was replaced by Wayne Rogers and quickly became a fan favorite, navigating the comedic and dramatic challenges of a mobile hospital alongside Alan Alda, Loretta Swit, and other acclaimed actors. MASH, which ran for eleven seasons and ended with a record-breaking finale, remains one of the most influential and beloved sitcoms of all time, exploring themes of war, friendship, and the human spirit.

Outside of MASH, Farrell has had a successful and varied career, starring in numerous television shows, including a voice role in Justice League, and producing the critically acclaimed film Patch Adams, starring Robin Williams. His talents extend beyond acting, as he has also served as vice president of the Screen Actors Guild.

Farrell has been married twice. He was married to Judy Hayden, with whom he has two children, and later married actress Shelley Fabares, best known for her roles on The Donna Reed Show and Coach. His long marriage to Fabares highlights his determination and stability in his personal life.
