Lar Park Lincoln, Knots Landing actor and author, died at 63.

She appeared in the television series “Hunter” and “Highway to Heaven” before getting cast in the 1987 film “Friday the 13th Part VII: The New Blood.”

Lar Park Lincoln, an actress who appeared on TV shows like Knots Landing and films like Friday the 13th Part VII: The New Blood before going on to coach budding actors and author a book about success in the entertainment industry, died. She was 63.

“It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Lar Park Lincoln, celebrated actress, founder of Actors Audition Studios, and America’s beloved Audition Coach, on April 22, 2025,” stated a Facebook statement from the company she founded. “Over her 45-year career, Lar left an unforgettable mark on Hollywood through her dynamic performances and dedication to mentoring aspiring actors.”

No cause of death was given. The actress had previously struggled with breast cancer, The Hollywood Reporter noted.

Lincoln, born Laurie Jill Park in Dallas, had her professional acting debut in the 1985 television film Children of the Night, co-starring Kathleen Quinlan and Mario Van Peebles. She appeared in TV shows Hunter and Highway to Heaven before playing Tina Shepard in the 1987 film Friday the 13th Part VII: The New Blood.

Lincoln appeared in dozens of episodes of Knots Landing from 1987 to 1991, commencing in the ninth season. For the most part, she played the cunning Linda Fairgate, who was a romantic interest for the sons of Karen (Michele Lee) and Mack (Kevin Dobson), a lover of Greg Sumner (William Devane), and a foe of Nicollette Sheridan’s character, Paige Matheson, before being murdered. According to Variety, she also played a dead person named “Sally’s friend.”

Lincoln speculated that her character was a fan favorite because she was “so rotten and so fun at the same time,” according to a 2022 interview with a nightly soap fan blog.

Her other work included episodes of Freddy’s Nightmares, Murder, She Wrote, Beverly Hills, 90210, and City of Justice, as well as decades of QVC appearances.

Along with her love of performing, Lincoln was passionate about educating others how to break into the entertainment industry, which she discussed in her 2008 book Get Started, Not Scammed. According to her company website, working with actors and speakers is a passion of hers.

The official announcement about her passing states, “the family requests privacy during this time and is grateful for the outpouring of love over Lar’s four-decade career.” In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to The SAG-AFTRA Foundation or The Entertainment Community Fund.”

Lincoln had been married to Michael Lincoln for 14 years before his death from illness in 2015.

The death certificate reads: “She is survived by her daughter, Piper (husband Tarek); son, Trevor (wife Danielle); sister, Karen (husband Harold); brother, Michael (wife Joan); four grandchildren (Aura, Benjamin, Jack, and Mia Grace); her poodle, Charlie; and countless friends, extended family, and admirers worldwide.”
