Brooke Hogan Explains Why She Was Left Out of Hulk Hogan’s Will

Brooke Hogan, daughter of the late wrestling legend Hulk Hogan, has come forward with the real reason she was excluded from her father’s will.

Following rumors surrounding her omission, Brooke addressed the situation after Hulk Hogan’s death on July 24 at age 71, reportedly due to a heart attack. Sources suggest he may have undergone coronary artery bypass surgery in the weeks prior.

Hogan leaves behind two children — Brooke, 37, and Nick, 35 — whom he shared with ex-wife Linda Hogan. The couple was married from 1983 to 2009. In 2023, Hogan wed his third wife, Sky Daily.

Despite an estimated net worth of $25 million (according to Celebrity Net Worth), Brooke will not inherit any part of her father’s estate — by her own request.

Speaking on the Bubba the Love Sponge Show, Brooke revealed that she had asked to be removed from her father’s will because she feared potential family conflicts over money following his death. Overcome with emotion, she recalled texting his assistant: “Take me off everything, I don’t want to be a part of it.”

Her perspective on wealth changed after giving birth to twins, Oliver Andrew and Molly Gene, earlier this year with husband Steve Oleksy.

Oleksy publicly supported Brooke’s decision. In an interview with US Weekly, he stated, “My wife acted in her father’s best interest, showing courage and compassion despite being deeply hurt.” He added that the fortune “wasn’t earned in the ring,” and much of it came at the cost of Brooke’s dignity due to damaging public statements and past family turmoil.

Brooke’s absence from WWE’s tribute events for her father also sparked backlash. WWE honored Hogan with a 10-bell salute during Friday Night SmackDown and Monday Night Raw. Only her brother Nick attended.

Addressing critics on Instagram, Brooke clarified: “For those of you giving me crap for not attending my dad’s tributes — @wwe did not extend an invite.”

Despite the speculation, Brooke expressed her deep love for her father in a heartfelt Instagram tribute. Sharing old photos, she wrote:

“My Dearest Daddy, you used to be everything to me, and I will continue to be your girl forever… I am PROUD to be your daughter.”

She emphasized that their bond remained strong, saying: “Our connection was never broken… I’m thankful I got to know the real him — not just the public image.”

Brooke Shields Reveals Why Only One of Her Daughters Will Inherit Her Jewelry

In a separate but similarly candid revelation, actress Brooke Shields explained why only her youngest daughter, Grier Henchy, 19, will inherit her jewelry.

In an interview with Only Natural Diamonds, Shields joked that she “can’t do it again” when it comes to gifting heirlooms to her oldest daughter, Rowan, 22, because Rowan “has lost every piece” she’s ever been given.

In contrast, she praised Grier’s appreciation for the history and craftsmanship behind fine jewelry:

“It’s not just about gold and diamonds — she understands the story and value behind each piece.”

Shields also shared that her emotional connection to jewelry stems from her late mother, who passed away in 2012. She recalled traveling the world with her mom, always stopping to shop for local jewelry — from pearls in Asia to brooches in Europe.

Quoting her mother’s advice, Shields said,

“Buy yourself your own diamond — don’t wait for a man to give you one.”

She credited her mother with gifting her first emerald-cut diamond, which she had set in a Verdura cuff — a treasured piece that represents self-worth and independence.
