Brooke Hogan recently opened up about her deeply personal choice to skip the public memorial service for her father, wrestling icon Hulk Hogan. In a heartfelt message on social media, Brooke explained that her decision was rooted in her desire to honor her father’s own wishes.
She revealed that Hulk Hogan had expressed a strong dislike for funerals, finding them too somber and morbid. “He didn’t want a funeral,” she wrote, noting that she chose to respect that by commemorating his life in her own way.
Rather than join the large public gathering in Florida — which drew many high-profile wrestling names such as Triple H, Ric Flair, and Vince McMahon — Brooke spent the day with her husband Steven and their 7-month-old twins, Oliver Andrew and Molly Gene, at the beach. The seaside held a special place in her father’s heart, and Brooke shared touching images of her children playing in the ocean — a place she said he cherished.

She reminisced about her father’s love of the beach, especially how he would sit and watch the sunset from his lawn chair. Brooke lovingly passed on one of his nicknames, “little fish,” to her daughter Molly, believing the connection would live on through her.
“Every grain of sand and every wave reminded me of being your beach baby and brought us closer to you,” Brooke wrote. “I pray you are at peace and know how dearly I love you. Rest in heaven, Daddy❤️.”
Her post came shortly after the official memorial service concluded. That same day, Brooke also appeared on the radio show Bubba the Love Sponge, where she briefly shared concerns about the circumstances surrounding her father’s passing.
This isn’t the first time Brooke has distanced herself from public events involving her father. She was also absent from Hulk Hogan’s recent third wedding to yoga instructor Sky Daily, raising further questions about their complex family dynamic.
