Amanda Bynes revealed a striking new tattoo on Wednesday, giving fans a glimpse at her latest body art following her recent weight loss journey. The former Nickelodeon star shared several photos on Instagram of the fresh ink on her left hand, which boldly reads “Trap Star.”

The 39-year-old got the tattoo at Atomic Tattoo & Body Piercing in Los Angeles, adding to her growing collection that includes a snake on her upper thigh, a rose on her forearm, Roman numerals “X” on her finger, and a small heart on her cheek. While Amanda didn’t explain the meaning behind her newest tattoo, she has previously shared the significance of some of her other ink.

For instance, the Roman numeral “X” marks a decade-long friendship with her best friend Dylan, while her snake tattoo represents personal growth. “It’s the ‘transformation’ for me,” she explained on TikTok, adding that snakes symbolize shedding the past and embracing who you’re becoming—a daily reminder to heal, grow, and start fresh.

2025 marked a transformative year for Amanda, who shared details of her weight loss journey, revealing she had lost 28 lbs with the help of Ozempic. “I usually don’t like paparazzi pictures [because] I was 180 lbs, but now I’m down to 152 lbs,” she wrote on Instagram in December, alongside a street-style photo. She later clarified that switching GLP-1 medications improved her results, dropping from 180 lbs to 163 lbs before reaching her current weight.

GLP-1 medications like Ozempic, Wegovy, and Mounjaro, often prescribed for diabetes, suppress appetite and have been used by other celebrities including Oprah Winfrey, Serena Williams, and Amy Schumer.

Amanda, once one of Hollywood’s top child stars with roles in Hairspray, What a Girl Wants, and Easy A, retired from acting after 2010 and faced mental health and addiction challenges. She was placed under a parental conservatorship in 2013, which ended in 2022 with her family’s full support. Since then, she has focused on her health, launched a podcast, pursued fashion projects, and teased new music for December 2025.
