A familiar face from Sex and the City was recently spotted out and about—and he’s still turning heads decades after his most talked-about episode aired.
The former SATC love interest was seen enjoying a relaxed stroll while walking his dogs, looking effortlessly cool more than 20 years after his time on the hit HBO series. Now 58, the actor appeared far removed from his polished TV persona, sporting a noticeably shaggy beard that gave him a rugged, mature edge.

It was none other than Ron Livingston, who famously played Jack Berger—Carrie Bradshaw’s writer boyfriend and one of the show’s most controversial characters. For the casual Hollywood outing, Ron kept things simple in a blue flannel shirt, layered over a white T-shirt, paired with loose-fitting jeans and dark red leather sneakers.

Fans will instantly remember Berger as the man who ended his relationship with Carrie via an infamous Post-it note reading, “I’m sorry. I can’t. Don’t hate me.” The moment remains one of the most unforgettable—and debated—scenes in television history.

Ron was joined on the dog walk by his wife, actress Rosemarie DeWitt, who opted for a sporty black-and-white outfit topped with a floppy hat.

Beyond Sex and the City, Ron has built an impressive career, starring in Office Space, Band of Brothers, Boardwalk Empire, The Conjuring, and more recently, the series Loudermilk. Born in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, he later attended Yale University, where he even sang with the famed Whiffenpoofs.

Unlike some of his former co-stars, Ron has largely stayed out of the spotlight. Married since 2009, he shares two children with Rosemarie and seems perfectly content embracing a low-key life.

With his fuller beard and laid-back style, Ron looks worlds away from his Berger days—but for SATC fans, he remains one of Carrie’s most memorable romances.
