Hollywood A-lister, 67, looks almost unrecognizable in jet-lagged selfie — can you tell who it is?

A major Hollywood star left fans doing a double take after posting a makeup-free, post–jet lag selfie on Instagram Wednesday.

The 67-year-old actress shared that she was feeling exhausted after traveling from the U.S. to Vienna, posing naturally in her hotel room for the candid snap. Wearing a black lace tank top, the blonde star showed off her effortlessly youthful appearance.

Born in Pennsylvania, the actress shot to global fame in 1992 with her role in the erotic thriller Basic Instinct, which cemented her status as one of Hollywood’s ultimate sex symbols. Over the years, she has built a reputation for both her striking beauty and powerful performances, earning a Golden Globe and an Academy Award nomination during her decades-long career.

So who is she?

It’s none other than Sharon Stone.

The Casino actress captioned the relaxed photo: “Post jet lag… self portrait in my hotel.”

Stone dominated the 1990s, starring in films such as Silver and The Specialist, and became one of the most recognizable faces in the industry. But her life took a dramatic turn in 2001 when she suffered a near-fatal brain hemorrhage and stroke.

After surviving the medical emergency, she shifted her focus toward humanitarian efforts, particularly HIV/AIDS research. In recent years, Stone has spoken candidly about how the stroke affected her career, revealing that it impacted her memory and motor skills.

Appearing on Who’s Talking to Chris Wallace?, she explained that her recovery was long and difficult. “In 2001, I had a nine-day brain hemorrhage and a massive, very debilitating stroke,” she said, adding that it took years to regain her strength. Because she initially struggled to remember lines, she felt she was “shoved to the back of the line” in Hollywood.

“Once you’re in the back of the line, getting back to the front isn’t about how many blockbusters you made,” she reflected. “You don’t really matter anymore. I felt like I lost my film family.”

Stone has also spoken about the overwhelming fame that followed Basic Instinct. She recalled that almost overnight she went from being relatively unknown to having fans swarm her car at stoplights. “On Friday I was basically a nobody,” she once said. “By Tuesday, people were climbing all over my car.”

Despite the highs and lows, Sharon Stone remains an enduring Hollywood icon — even if her jet-lagged selfie momentarily had fans guessing.
