Shannon Elizabeth, 52, best known as the iconic pin-up Nadia from the 1999 teen hit American Pie alongside Jason Biggs and Tara Reid, has been spotted in a rare new Instagram photo.

Following her breakout role, Elizabeth appeared in Scary Movie, American Pie 2, Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back, Tomcats, Cuts, That ’70s Show, and Love Actually during the 2000s. She also launched a successful modeling career, gracing multiple Maxim covers, and competed on the sixth season of Dancing with the Stars.

In addition to acting and modeling, Elizabeth became a familiar face in the celebrity poker scene in Las Vegas, participating in numerous tournaments over the years. Her recent credits include American Reunion, The Outsider, Marshall’s Miracle, and the comedy Plan B. She also appeared on Celebrity Big Brother in 2018.

Elizabeth stepped away from Hollywood and moved to South Africa in 2017, focusing on activism and running the Shannon Elizabeth Foundation, which works to protect animals and raise awareness about rhino poaching. “We’re building a sanctuary. We have a blind black rhino we’re taking care of, and we plan to bring in more as soon as we expand,” she shared in April. Her charity began in the 2000s as Animal Avengers and gradually shifted toward wildlife conservation.

On the personal front, Elizabeth married actor-director-producer Joseph D. Reitman in 2002, divorcing in 2005, and is now married to Simon Borchert. Born in Houston and raised in Waco, Texas, she started her career modeling for Ford and Elite before transitioning to film. At the height of her fame, she became a magazine pin-up, appearing on Maxim covers in 2000, 2003, and June 2008.

Elizabeth also hosted the comedy-burlesque series Live Nude Comedy in 2009 and appeared in Chris Brown’s 2011 music video Next to You as his girlfriend.

This week, she announced plans for a cruise on Instagram: “I’m so excited to be joining Cruise Askew with Jay & Silent Bob!! Sun, ocean air, laughs, conversations, and a little adventure—this one feels special. We’re sailing Tampa to Costa Maya, Feb 18–22, 2026, and there are only a few rooms left… Don’t wait—this one’s almost full.”

The rare photo from her upcoming movie First Witch, set to release this year, marks Elizabeth’s gradual return to acting while she continues her focus on conservation and wildlife activism.
