Mickey Rourke was recently spotted in downtown Los Angeles looking noticeably worn as he stepped out in a dirty sweatsuit to walk three of his dogs — just weeks after making headlines over a reported eviction dispute.

The 73-year-old Oscar nominee kept things low-key in an ash-gray sweatsuit, pairing a zip-up hoodie with matching sweatpants for the early morning outing. He completed the casual look with white Adidas martial arts training shoes and had a pair of clear-framed sunglasses resting on top of his head while carrying a drink in hand.

The Wrestler star, whose résumé includes films such as Diner, Rumble Fish, and 9½ Weeks, appeared deep in thought during the stroll. His public appearance comes at a difficult time, as he has also been mourning the loss of fellow actor Eric Dane, who recently passed away at 53 following a battle with ALS, also known as Lou Gehrig’s disease.

Last November, Rourke publicly praised Dane on Instagram after his appearance in Brilliant Minds, describing him as a “friend” and applauding his portrayal of a man living with ALS as “riveting.” Earlier this month, Rourke revealed that Dane had been hospitalized and urged fans to pray for him, later deleting the post.

Meanwhile, Rourke has been dealing with personal challenges of his own. In December, his landlord reportedly served him with a three-day notice to pay $59,100 in alleged unpaid rent or vacate the property. Court documents filed in Los Angeles Superior Court stated that the actor had failed to comply with the demand. Rourke had been renting the three-bedroom home since March under a $5,200-per-month lease agreement.

The actor has pushed back against some of the public narrative, distancing himself from a GoFundMe campaign reportedly organized by a former associate and expressing frustration over the situation. He has also claimed that the rental property was in poor condition, alleging issues such as plumbing failures, lack of heat, broken air conditioning, and rodent problems in the aging home.

Amid the legal turmoil and personal loss, Rourke’s recent sighting offered a quiet glimpse into his current chapter — walking his dogs, dressed down, and navigating a challenging period in the public eye.
