Jennifer Grant — the daughter of two legendary Hollywood stars — was recently spotted during a rare public outing at age 60.

The actress, often described as a classic “nepo baby,” grew up surrounded by Old Hollywood glamour thanks to her famous parents: screen icon Cary Grant and actress Dyan Cannon. Raised in Southern California, she spent her childhood in the spotlight of Tinseltown royalty.

Her father, known for his suave style and distinctive British accent, starred alongside some of cinema’s most famous actresses, including Grace Kelly and Sophia Loren. Meanwhile, her mother built an impressive acting career of her own, appearing opposite stars such as Warren Beatty, Jack Lemmon, and Sean Connery.

Following in her parents’ footsteps, Jennifer also pursued acting. She is best known for her recurring role on Beverly Hills, 90210, where she appeared alongside Tori Spelling and Shannen Doherty. She also made a guest appearance on the hit sitcom Friends, sharing scenes with Jennifer Aniston and Courteney Cox.

Last week, Grant was photographed running errands at the upscale Erewhon grocery store. She wore an all-black outfit paired with a playful plaid hat while picking up groceries. Observers also noticed a large diamond ring on her wedding finger as she walked alongside a man who was wearing a wedding band.

Jennifer is the only child of Cary Grant. The legendary actor starred in some of Hollywood’s most beloved classics, including The Awful Truth (1937), Bringing Up Baby (1938), His Girl Friday (1940), and The Philadelphia Story (1940). He also famously shared the screen with Grace Kelly in To Catch a Thief and with Ingrid Bergman in Notorious.

Cannon also enjoyed a successful acting career. She appeared alongside Warren Beatty in Heaven Can Wait and starred with Sean Connery in The Anderson Tapes.

Grant and Cannon married in Las Vegas in 1965, and Jennifer was born the following year in Burbank, California. After her birth, Cary Grant stepped away from acting so he could dedicate more time to raising his daughter. However, the marriage between Grant and Cannon did not last long. They separated about a year after tying the knot and finalized their divorce when Jennifer was just two years old.

Despite the split, Jennifer maintained a close relationship with her father until his death in 1986 in Iowa. In his will, the actor left half of his $60 million fortune to his daughter, while the remaining portion went to his widow, Barbara Harris.

Jennifer later attended Stanford University, graduating in 1987 before embarking on an acting career — something her father had reportedly hoped she would avoid.

Her acting résumé includes a recurring role as Celeste Lundy on Beverly Hills, 90210 beginning in 1993. She also appeared in popular television shows such as Ellen and CSI: Crime Scene Investigation. On the big screen, she starred in The Evening Star (1996) with Shirley MacLaine and made an appearance in Babylon alongside Brad Pitt.

She also led the WB sitcom Movie Stars in 1999.

In 2011, Grant reflected on her famous father in her memoir, Good Stuff: A Reminiscence of My Father, Cary Grant. She described him as a refined British gentleman despite building his career in America. “Dad transformed himself in a very American can-do way,” she wrote, adding that he still maintained a love for classic British comforts like corned beef and cabbage, crumpets, and even cornflakes.

In a 2023 interview with The Guardian, she also spoke about how little her father shared about his own difficult childhood. According to Jennifer, his painful upbringing ultimately motivated him to ensure that she experienced a very different life.

Cary Grant died when Jennifer was just 20 years old, but his influence remained a defining part of her life.

Jennifer was previously married to director Randy Zisk from 1993 to 1996, and she is now the mother of two children.
