The 63-year-old actress, long admired for her slender physique, looked even thinner than usual. Earlier this month she also sparked conversation when she appeared at the Screen Actors Guild Awards — sometimes referred to as the Actor Awards — wearing a tight sleeveless black gown that emphasized her lean frame, prompting unconfirmed online speculation that she might be using the weight-loss drug Ozempic.
For her SXSW appearance, Moore wore a plunging sleeveless wrap dress that highlighted her long legs. The outfit featured a shimmering orange sash around her waist, accentuating the dress’s fitted silhouette as she smiled for photographers in the Texas sunshine.

She attended the festival for the premiere of her latest film, I Love Boosters!, which stars Keke Palmer and is directed by Boots Riley, known for the film Sorry to Bother You. Moore also posed with Riley at the event, placing her hands warmly on his shoulders while they smiled for photos together.
Accompanying Moore on the red carpet was her tiny Chihuahua Pilaf, a miniature dog weighing just over a pound that the actress has frequently brought along to public appearances.
Meanwhile, Palmer captured attention with her own bold look. The 32-year-old actress arrived in a bright yellow halter-neck dress with cut-out details that showcased her toned abs, along with a high slit on one side. She completed the outfit with hoop earrings, bracelets, glamorous makeup and tall heels.

In I Love Boosters!, Palmer plays the leader of a group of shoplifters who begin targeting upscale boutiques owned by a sharp-tongued fashion designer portrayed by Moore. The film’s title comes from a 2006 track by Riley’s hip-hop group The Coup, which originally brought him recognition in the 1990s. In the song, a “booster” refers to someone who steals items from retail stores and resells them cheaply in their community — a concept that also shapes the movie’s storyline.

Moore’s noticeably slimmer appearance earlier this month fueled online speculation about her weight, with social media users debating whether she might be using Ozempic. Some commenters described her as “too skinny,” while others joked about the trend of weight-loss drugs in Hollywood.
The speculation also came as Moore recently starred in the 2024 body-horror film The Substance, in which she plays an aging actress who takes an illegal drug that creates a younger version of herself, portrayed by Margaret Qualley, with the two bodies alternating consciousness each week.

Moore received an Academy Award nomination for Best Actress for the role. At the ceremony she ultimately lost the Oscar to Mikey Madison, who won for her performance in Anora, directed by Sean Baker.
