The 27-year-old actor and musician appeared in a TikTok clip filmed at the brand’s show during Paris Fashion Week, where he proudly displayed the unusual accessory. The bag, known as the Maison de Famille, is designed to resemble the historic country home of the luxury label’s founder, Louis Vuitton.
Currently listed on the company’s Hong Kong website for about HK$375,000 — roughly $48,000 in U.S. dollars — the purse is crafted to look like a miniature house. In the video, Jaden enthusiastically pointed out its features, including a tiny balcony, decorative owl and detailed elements throughout. Opening the bag, he revealed small drawer-like compartments inside, praising the craftsmanship behind the design.

However, the display quickly drew criticism from social media users, many of whom mocked the video and called the accessory excessive. Commenters left reactions ranging from “ridiculous” and “so sad” to “I’m so over him,” while others lamented the state of modern celebrity culture.

The elaborate bag is inspired by the historic residence that Vuitton purchased in 1859. The house, now located in the Paris suburb of Asnières-sur-Seine, originally served as both the designer’s family home and his professional workshop. Today, the property functions partly as a museum dedicated to Vuitton’s legacy and also hosts a special-orders workshop.
The Maison de Famille bag was introduced in the brand’s Spring/Summer 2023 collection by creative director Nicolas Ghesquière. Made from cowhide leather, it features gold-toned hardware, miniature architectural details and even an enamel bird perched on the roof, with decorative snow effects along the tiny windows.

Jaden’s latest online controversy follows criticism he received earlier this year over his first fashion collaboration with Christian Louboutin. In September, the luxury designer appointed him as the first creative director for the brand’s menswear line. But when the collection launched in January, some fashion commentators mocked the bold designs, particularly a pair of fuzzy red boots priced at nearly $3,000.
Critics on social media compared the footwear to exaggerated costumes and questioned whether the opportunity was granted because of Jaden’s famous family connections.

More recently, the star also went viral for abruptly walking away from a red carpet interview after being asked about a project involving a collaborator connected to Kanye West. The moment occurred at the premiere of Coulda Been Love, hosted by comedian Druski, leaving the interviewer joking that viewers would “never know” the answer.
