Madonna, 67, shows off done-up complexion and plump pout as she reunites with biopic star Julia Garner in Venice for The Studio filming

Madonna looked fully glam as she reunited with actress Julia Garner during a gondola ride in Venice, Italy, while the pair filmed scenes for season two of Apple TV+’s The Studio.

The pop icon, 67, appeared camera-ready with a polished complexion, bold red lipstick, and softly curled blonde hair parted down the middle and styled in loose ringlets. She and Garner posed together aboard the city’s iconic boats along the Grand Canal, though it remains unclear whether the shoot was directly tied to the series.

Both stars coordinated their outfits, wearing black-and-white striped tops layered with dark coats and blue jeans, while a film crew captured footage nearby. Garner, 32, accessorized with a wide-brimmed hat trimmed with red ribbon, occasionally resting it on her lap, while Madonna added fingerless baby-blue gloves and held a black handbag.

The appearance marks Madonna’s return to acting after nearly two decades. Her last major screen role was a voice part in the 2006 animated film Arthur and the Invisibles, and her last live-action appearance was a cameo on Will & Grace in 2003. She previously won a Golden Globe for her performance in the 1995 musical Evita.

The Studio, co-created by Seth Rogen, follows a stressed-out movie studio executive and features a cast including Ike Barinholtz, Chase Sui Wonders, and Kathryn Hahn. Madonna recently hinted at her involvement by sharing a photo on Instagram Stories of herself reading a script on a gondola, captioned “The Italian Job.”

Garner, who is also set to portray Madonna in an upcoming biopic, confirmed last year that the long-delayed project is still moving forward. The singer has spent years trying to bring her life story to the screen, working with different writers and revising the concept while balancing other commitments, including her Celebration tour.
