Hathaway admitted that insecurity crept in only because she expected to see something different, but once she accepted reality, she felt at peace with it. She added that experiences like this have helped her realize that energy should be saved for more important worries.
The Oscar winner also shared that she feels happier now than she did earlier in life, pushing back against the idea that youth is the most fulfilling stage. She said she discovered a new sense of confidence after turning 40 and wasn’t expecting to “find another gear” later in life.
