The 65-year-old actor, known for his iconic role on The X-Files, was spotted on the Los Angeles set of Soapbox, grinning as he prepared to film in a racy all-black ensemble featuring a lace blouse, sequined mini skirt, stockings, and a swipe of red lipstick. Co-star Laverne Cox also impressed in a tailored suit.
Duchovny co-wrote the comedy with Max Barbakow, which follows an aging soap opera star navigating the absurdities of modern culture, under the direction of Mike and Dave Need Wedding Dates filmmaker Andrew Jay Cohen. His 26-year-old daughter, West Duchovny, will also appear in the film alongside Randall Park, Jimmi Simpson, and Jennifer Grey.

Best known for playing Fox Mulder in Chris Carter’s 1990s sci-fi hit The X-Files, Duchovny captivated audiences as the believer paired with skeptic Dana Scully, portrayed by Gillian Anderson. The show originally ran from 1993 to 2002 and returned for a revival in 2016 and 2018, with a new reboot planned by Oscar-nominated director Ryan Coogler.
Off-screen, Duchovny recently married 32-year-old Monique Pendleberry, three decades his junior, after meeting her in 2017 at a Malibu juice shop. The couple made their red carpet debut at the premiere of his film You People in 2023.

Previously, Duchovny was married to actress Téa Leoni from 1997 to 2014, a union that produced two children: West and Kyd Miller Duchovny. Their high-profile relationship endured challenges, including Duchovny’s 2008 rehab stint for sex addiction, before ultimately ending in divorce.

Even decades into his career, Duchovny continues to surprise fans—this time by embracing a playful, daring new side for the screen.

With Soapbox set to hit screens soon, fans are eagerly anticipating Duchovny’s fearless performance, proving once again that he’s willing to take risks and reinvent himself—both on and off the camera—while keeping audiences thoroughly entertained.
