Anne Hathaway is opening up about her strong marriage to husband Adam Shulman, calling him her “dream” partner and crediting him for helping her manage one of the busiest years of her career.
In a new cover interview for PEOPLE’s World’s Most Beautiful 2026, the 43-year-old actress reflects on how much Shulman has supported her while she juggles an unusually packed slate of projects. Hathaway has five films either releasing or in production this year, including Mother Mary, The Devil Wears Prada 2, The Odyssey, The End of Oak Street, and Verity—a workload she says would have been nearly impossible without her husband’s unwavering support.

“He supports me completely,” Hathaway shared, explaining that this year has been extraordinary even by Hollywood standards. “He and I both know this is probably never going to happen again. The way he stepped up in every possible way—he’s honestly the most extraordinary person I’ve ever met.”

Hathaway and Shulman, who married in 2012 after meeting at the 2008 Palm Springs International Film Festival, have built a family life centered around their two sons, Jonathan and Jack. The actress says that both her husband and children keep her grounded despite the demands of her career.
She went on to describe Shulman as a deeply reliable partner, someone who “holds everything down” at home while she works. “I hope it doesn’t sound like I’m bragging, but he really is a dream partner,” she added.

Beyond emotional support, Hathaway also praised Shulman’s everyday contributions to their home life, noting his talent in the kitchen. She recalled one recent meal he prepared—salmon with rice, purple sweet potatoes, spinach, and roasted tomatoes—calling it “absolutely delicious.”
For Hathaway, the foundation of her success, she says, comes from the stability of her family life. “We work really well together,” she added, emphasizing how their partnership continues to be one of the most important parts of her life.
“It’s one thing to have dreams,” she adds. “It’s another thing to have somebody who helps you achieve them. I absolutely would not be able to have achieved what I’ve done without my husband.”
