Anne Hathaway has offered a rare glimpse into family life as she balances a demanding film schedule with raising her two sons, Jonathan and Jack.
With promotional tours underway for The Devil Wears Prada 2 and Mother Mary, the actress admitted that spending time with her children remains her top priority. Speaking with Vogue Australia, Anne shared that after flying through the night, she went straight to breakfast with her kids, explaining that with such a hectic schedule, she wants to make the most of every moment she can with them.

Anne married Adam Shulman in 2012, and the couple welcomed Jonathan in 2016, followed by Jack in 2019. The Oscar-winning actress has consistently chosen to keep her children out of the spotlight and has spoken openly about why privacy matters to her family.
In a previous interview with Porter, she explained that motherhood changed her perspective, saying family life is about more than just herself. She added that children need the freedom to shape their own identities and lives, separate from their parents’ fame.

Despite protecting their privacy, Anne made a rare public appearance with her youngest son at the 2025 Super Bowl in New Orleans, where they were seen cheering for the Philadelphia Eagles together. She wore a green team T-shirt while Jack sat comfortably on her lap.
The actress has also shared how becoming a mother transformed her personally. In a 2022 interview with WSJ Magazine, she said she didn’t feel fully grounded until she became a parent, explaining that motherhood inspired her to be more honest, focused, and true to herself.

Anne has even spoken about whether her children might one day pursue acting. She said she would follow the same approach her own parents used—encouraging education, reading, and classes, while discouraging them from entering the entertainment industry too young. In her view, childhood should come first, with plenty of time later to decide their future paths.
