Dwayne Johnson had the audience laughing during a star-studded Hollywood Walk of Fame ceremony for his friend Emily Blunt on Thursday, after an unexpected wardrobe mishap stole a moment of attention.
The actor, who arrived in a light beige suit with a sheer white shirt, was preparing to speak in tribute to Blunt when he briefly paused to deal with a spill on his trousers. Smiling at the crowd, he joked that he had “spilled a little drink,” prompting laughter from the audience.

Trying to keep things light, he quipped about the timing of the incident and how the podium luckily concealed the stain, adding that it was “a way to start off the morning.” He then continued with a heartfelt speech about Blunt’s character and presence.
Johnson praised her grounded nature, describing her as someone who remains deeply grateful and fully present in every moment. He said that her outlook brings a sense of joy and calm, qualities he believes define who she is both personally and professionally.

Blunt later took the stage to accept the honor, humorously acknowledging Johnson’s speech and expressing gratitude for the support of her family and close friends in attendance, including her husband John Krasinski and brother-in-law Stanley Tucci, along with other Hollywood figures such as Meryl Streep, Matt Damon, and Robert Downey Jr..

Blunt also reflected on her close bond with Tucci, describing how meaningful it was to share the moment with her extended family and collaborators in the industry.

Johnson and Blunt have worked together on projects including Jungle Cruise and The Smashing Machine, and their long-standing friendship was evident as Johnson later referred to her as one of his closest friends, crediting their trust and connection for allowing them to fully commit to their on-screen performances.
