Mary-Kate Olsen and Ashley Olsen made a rare public outing in New York City on Thursday, turning heads with coordinated black ensembles that proved their signature style is still unmatched.
The 39-year-old twins were spotted walking through Midtown Manhattan looking effortlessly chic. Mary-Kate wore a long black trench coat with black trousers, a white scarf, and sunglasses, while Ashley paired blue jeans with a mid-length black coat, black scarf, and sunglasses. Both carried luxe crocodile leather handbags as they headed to lunch together.
Mary-Kate styled her blonde hair in loose beachy waves, while Ashley kept her brunette locks tucked neatly into her coat. The famously private sisters even flashed rare smiles during the outing.
The duo have largely stayed out of the spotlight since stepping away from acting in 2012. After beginning their fashion label The Row in 2005, they went on to build one of the most respected names in luxury fashion. The brand has been worn by stars including Jennifer Lawrence, Hailey Bieber, and Dakota Johnson.
Their continued success was recognized when they won American Accessory Designer of the Year at the 2025 CFDA Fashion Awards. Ashley previously said their original goal was simply to step away from fame, explore life in New York, and focus on creating products rather than being in front of the camera.
The sisters first became household names as Michelle Tanner on Full House before starring in films such as Passport to Paris, New York Minute, and Our Lips Are Sealed.
They were also recently mentioned by former co-star Jodie Sweetin, who said there is no bad blood between the cast despite losing touch over the years. She explained that the twins simply followed a very different path, moving to New York and building their fashion empire.
Sweetin also fondly remembered spending time with them as children, recalling sleepovers, horseback riding, Disneyland trips, and the close bond they once shared during their early years on set.
