“I have to live to be 107”: Cameron Diaz admits she experiences severe anxiety due to late motherhood

Cameron Diaz starred in the comedy thriller “Fallout” with Keanu Reeves for Apple TV Outcome. In the story of the actor played by Keanu, the screen star portrayed the title character. The actress admitted that it was challenging to take on the important role after a long break.

The actress noted that she couldn’t wait to begin filming. “It was incredibly exciting to work with such a high-caliber actor as Keanu Reeves. I’m glad I took a break and allowed myself to focus on my family and the part of my life that means so much to me. But I still love acting. It’s the best job in the world,” Diaz said emotionally.

The lead actress in “Charlie’s Angels” emphasized that she loves being a mother, and that it’s the most important part of her life. However, Cameron mentioned feeling anxious and stressed, having given birth at 47.

“The only thing that worries me now is age. I need to be healthy and vibrant. I need to live to 107. Women who have children my age are literally 20 years younger than me. That’s perfectly normal. But I want to feel alive and active for my child,” Diaz concluded.

The Golden Globe nominee took an extended break from her career. She left Hollywood in 2017 to focus on her personal life. Two years prior, Cameron married musician Benji Madden. On December 30, 2019, they welcomed their daughter Raddix , and on March 23, 2024, the couple announced the birth of their son, Cardinal.

Last year, the actress returned to the silver screen, co-starring with longtime friend Jamie Foxx in the film “Back in Action.” Next year, Diaz will once again voice Princess Fiona in the animated film “Shrek 5.” She has also landed a role in the upcoming film “Bad Day.”
