Jennifer Garner’s daughter Violet makes rare move of pulling off her mask while in LA for college summer break

Jennifer Garner and Ben Affleck’s eldest daughter, Violet Affleck, was recently spotted back in Los Angeles after finishing her sophomore year at Yale University.

The 20-year-old made a rare public appearance during her summer break and notably lowered the face mask she is usually seen wearing while out in the city.

Violet was joined by her younger brother, Samuel Affleck, 14, as the siblings stopped by Sweet Rose Creamery for ice cream near the family’s Brentwood neighborhood home.

Their sibling Finn Affleck, formerly known as Seraphina, was not seen during the outing.

Violet kept her look relaxed and stylish in a Chappell Roan T-shirt, two-tone jeans, black sneakers, and a pink crossbody bag. She completed the outfit with glasses while holding her face mask in her hand instead of wearing it.

The Yale student has continued to wear masks regularly after previously dealing with a post-viral health condition she contracted in 2019, and she has publicly advocated for masking in crowded spaces.

Just one day later, Violet was photographed wearing a mask again while riding in a car with Garner during a drive-through food run at In-N-Out Burger.

Garner, 54, opted for a sporty outfit during the ice cream outing, wearing black leggings, sneakers, sunglasses, and a red-and-black top, while Samuel kept things casual in a white T-shirt, green sweatpants, and sneakers.

Earlier this year, Garner reflected on co-parenting with Affleck following their 2015 split after a decade of marriage. Speaking on Bustle’s One Nightstand podcast, the actress explained that raising children across two households often means each parent has to balance both maternal and paternal roles.

Despite their divorce, Garner and Affleck have repeatedly spoken publicly about maintaining mutual respect and prioritizing their children. In past interviews, Garner described Affleck as “the love of my life,” while Affleck has admitted he never wanted their marriage to end but remains grateful they’ve managed to build a supportive co-parenting relationship for their family.
