Michael Jackson friend claims King of Pop said HE was molested as a child… and thought it was NORMAL

A close friend of Michael Jackson has claimed the late “King of Pop” once told him he was sexually abused as a child, but that he had come to see it as something “normal,” describing it as a kind of “playtime.”

The allegation comes from Emmy-winning producer Geoffrey Mark, who said Jackson spoke to him during private conversations at Los Angeles gatherings in the late 1990s and early 2000s hosted by celebrity dermatologist Dr. Arnold “Arnie” Klein. According to Mark, Jackson did not identify any alleged abuser, but suggested he had experienced inappropriate “intergenerational touching” during his upbringing.

Jackson’s legacy has long been shadowed by sexual abuse allegations involving minors. He was acquitted in a 2005 criminal trial, though he previously reached a settlement in 1994 with the family of Jordie Chandler, who accused him of misconduct. The claims have continued to follow him in public discourse, including in documentaries and renewed discussion around recent film portrayals of his life.

Mark said that during these private conversations, Jackson did not frame his own experiences as abuse, but instead described them in a way that suggested he had normalized them due to his childhood environment. Mark claimed Jackson viewed what had happened to him as part of his upbringing rather than recognizing it as trauma.

He also recounted that the topic of fathers came up at one of Klein’s dinner parties, where personal stories of abuse were shared among guests. Mark said Jackson reacted with confusion to his own account of childhood trauma, seemingly unable to understand why it was harmful.

In Mark’s view, Jackson was not inherently malicious but deeply shaped by his past, which may have affected his understanding of boundaries and behavior. He suggested Jackson may have believed he was simply recreating what he himself had experienced as a child.

Jackson, who died in 2009 at age 50 from cardiac arrest linked to the anesthetic propofol, remains a deeply controversial and heavily debated cultural figure.
