The couple, who decided to create their own cozy corner away from the hustle and bustle of the city, purchased a small plot of land in a picturesque area.
And although their dream of a house in this place seemed like a distant and complicated project, they found a rather unconventional solution to start with. Instead of investing in an expensive construction project, they chose two old construction trailers.
At first, it was just a temporary solution. They didn’t set a goal to create something large-scale, because the plan was just to move their lives to a new place and enjoy nature.
However, with each step, the couple discovered how it was possible to make a cozy place to live from these simple structures.
The first thing they did was install sewerage and drill their own well to ensure their independence from city amenities. Soon, interior renovations became a major concern.
Despite the small size of the premises, the couple managed to create an atmosphere of warmth and comfort.
They chose light colors for the decoration: walls in pastel shades, simple but stylish materials for the floor and ceilings, as well as furniture that did not overload the space, but at the same time added coziness.
And although the house made from trailers turned out to be comfortable, they understood that it was still a temporary option.
For living with children, such a space could not become permanent. But for the first months in this house, as well as for staying together, it turned out to be ideal.
Over time, the couple began looking for a new home suitable for the whole family. And their choice fell on building a main house from shipping containers – a solution they considered more suitable for long-term living.
They plan to use this house as a guest house in the future.
