The floors creaked and sagged in places, the walls were covered in peeling wallpaper, the bathroom tiles were cracked, the pipes were rusty, and the kitchen looked like it hadn’t been touched in decades.
However, the couple was not afraid. They decided to turn this ruin into a stylish and cozy home.
The first thing the young couple did was to make a plan. They wanted the apartment to look spacious, bright and modern. To achieve this, they decided to decorate the interior in light colors with minimalist elements.
The work began with a complete dismantling. Together with friends, they removed old wallpaper and tore out the floors.
Once the walls were cleared, they leveled them and painted them white. On one wall in the living room, they painted a decorative concrete finish to add an accent.
The ceilings were also refreshed with white paint, and built-in lighting was added to the bedroom.
Instead of the old parquet, they laid light oak-colored laminate, which visually enlarged the space.
The kitchen features laconic white cabinets with smooth fronts. For contrast, a gray countertop and black metal handles were chosen. The household appliances were built in so that everything looked like a single whole.
The bathroom was tiled in ivory color. A large mirror panel with backlighting and a hanging cabinet for storing small items were installed.
After a few months, the apartment was transformed. Light walls and open space filled it with air and light. Modern details, such as built-in lamps and functional furniture, made the interior stylish and cozy.
