Jennifer Lopez, an actress and singer, had an unpleasant interaction with a fan, which raised the subject of celebrity boundaries.
As she was leaving her house, a fan approached her and attempted to touch her arm.
Lopez, dressed in a beautiful white coat and huge sunglasses, reacted in a way that many deemed “bad.”
“Do not handle me in that manner!” she allegedly shouted, attempting to draw her arm away.
Security arrived and led the singer into her car.
Jennifer Lopez’s reply confused onlookers.
“I’ve never seen her like that,” one bystander said. “She’s usually very gracious, but this clearly crossed a line.”
The fan in issue stated that he merely wanted a photo with Lopez, but he was promptly removed from the premises.
When word of the incident emerged, many people criticized her for how she treated a fan. However, some argue that she was simply respecting her personal space and setting a boundary.
People close to Lopez say she has been under a lot of pressure recently.
“She didn’t mean to come off rude—it was a protective response,” the insider explained. “Anyone in her shoes would’ve reacted the same way.”
