Prince Harry’s wife, Meghan Markle, appears to have fully left her royal days behind as she continues to build her business empire. The Duchess of Sussex is steadily transitioning into entrepreneurship, actively promoting her lifestyle brand American Riviera Orchard on Instagram, and sharing the challenges of business life on her podcast Archetypes.
In many episodes where Meghan speaks with female founders, she focuses on her humble beginnings and rarely references her former royal life. According to royal expert Jennie Bond, this may be a deliberate effort to make a key statement.
The former BBC royal correspondent explained: “I think she’s also intent on showing that she’s a strong individual who, from relatively modest beginnings, became a successful actress, and now an influencer and entrepreneur.”
“I believe she wants to be seen as a successful businesswoman—not just as someone who briefly lived within palace walls and holds a royal title.”
“This message might be clearer if she were to stop using her Duchess title and the ‘Her Royal Highness’ style in her professional and personal dealings. Still, there’s no denying she had a thriving television career and is now pursuing several ambitious business ventures.”
