Harrison Ford’s wife Calista Flockhart, 61, shows off natural beauty as she goes makeup-free on rare outing

The 61-year-old Ally McBeal star, whose husband Harrison Ford is set to be honored at the Actor Awards on Sunday, opted for a relaxed outfit of jeans and a plain black top while running errands. Far from the polished glamour she once showcased on red carpets, Flockhart appeared comfortable and at ease as she walked through the city streets. At one point, she briefly removed her sunglasses while seated in her car, giving onlookers a glimpse of her natural complexion.

Her outing stood out in part because the famously private couple is rarely photographed. They were last seen sharing a low-key moment of affection on a New York subway in April 2025. Prior to that, Flockhart’s most recent high-profile appearance was alongside Ford at the 2025 Emmy Awards in September.

Their relationship, which has spanned more than two decades, began unexpectedly. The pair met at the Golden Globe Awards in 2002, where Ford, then 60, was being honored and Flockhart, 38 at the time, was nominated for her work on Ally McBeal. Despite a 22-year age difference that quickly drew media attention, the two formed an immediate connection.

Over the years, they’ve playfully addressed the rumors that surrounded their early romance — including the oft-repeated story that Flockhart intentionally spilled a drink on Ford to catch his attention. Both later clarified in interviews that it was actually Ford who accidentally spilled wine during their first conversation.

Their romance unfolded gradually. After dating for eight years, Ford proposed on Valentine’s Day in 2009 during a family vacation. They married the following June in an intimate ceremony in Santa Fe, New Mexico, attended only by close family.

A key part of their bond has been Flockhart’s son, Liam, whom she adopted as a single mother in 2001, a year before meeting Ford. At the time, Ford already had four children from previous marriages, but he embraced Liam wholeheartedly. He later told The New York Times that when he met Liam, who had just begun walking, nothing else seemed to matter. After marrying Flockhart, Ford legally adopted Liam, solidifying their blended family.

Both have spoken openly about their age difference, insisting it has never been an issue in their relationship. Flockhart once joked that she sometimes forgets the gap entirely, while Ford has acknowledged that his earlier parenting experiences helped him grow into a more thoughtful father figure later in life.

Although they remain one of Hollywood’s most recognizable couples, Ford and Flockhart have carefully guarded their privacy. They divide their time between homes in Los Angeles, Jackson Hole, Wyoming, and New York, especially when Flockhart takes on stage projects. Notably, despite their long marriage, they have never appeared on screen together — something Ford has attributed to practical reasons rather than lack of opportunity.

Ford’s previous marriages — first to Mary Marquardt and later to screenwriter Melissa Mathison — are chapters of his past, but he has described his life with Flockhart as a deeply meaningful and enduring partnership. Even decades into their relationship, the couple continues to prioritize family and a life largely removed from Hollywood’s constant glare.
