What may seem like ordinary trash to some, can be transformed into a unique decorative element for others.
Look at this worn out dresser that looks like it’s had its day. 🛋️
However, thanks to careful work and creativity 🎨, the young woman was able to turn it into a real decorative object. ✨

All this was made possible by the desire to create something that would be both elegant and high-quality, and best of all, the renovation was inexpensive 💰.
After the chest of drawers has been cleaned and degreased, it is necessary to apply wood filler to visible defects. At this stage, it is also necessary to sand 🧽.

In some cases, you may need to apply a primer. To do this, you can mix some starch and wood glue with water-based paint 🎨.
To obtain the desired shade, you can use pigments.

In this project, purple was combined with fuchsia 💜. In addition, a little glue and starch were added to the base paint.
During mixing, some of the paint was specially thickened by increasing the amount of glue and starch, which allowed us to create an interesting texture 🖌️.

Once a stencil with a nice geometric pattern has been selected, it is placed on the lid.
A thick layer of paint is then applied to the stencil and allowed to dry for a few minutes before removing it ⏳.

It is important to clean the stencil immediately to remove excess paint.
The stencil can then be carefully applied over the unpainted areas, slightly overlapping the areas already applied.
This technique allows you to create a perfect relief pattern without visible breaks 💡.

While the lid is drying, you can start painting the body and legs of the chest of drawers 🖌️.
A different approach is used for the door.
Only part of the door is painted in the main color, and the stencil serves as a limiter. When the paint on the lid is almost dry, a second layer is applied and the edges are painted.

This creates an original and aesthetic effect ✨. The rest of the door was covered with primer 🏗️.
After drying, a decorative sticker with the selected pattern is applied.

Excess foil is carefully removed in places where it meets the stencil, and the foil is smoothed out as much as possible 🧼.
The final touch is adding lace. Lace strips are glued along the door using water-based glue 🧵.

All that’s left to do is add a handle and find the perfect spot for this updated dresser 🏡.
