Travolta’s look is inspired by his surprise appearance at the Grease sing-along at the Hollywood Bowl. The special event was a public screening of the film, with attendees singing along to the classic songs. Just as the ceremony began, Travolta appeared on stage, looking just like Danny Zuko and wearing a black leather jacket.
“L.A.?” he asked the audience, repeating a popular line from the film. “I thought you were going back to Australia!” he quipped, reuniting with his castmates and drawing tremendous applause from the audience.
Travolta even led the audience through a few lines from the film’s final song, We Go Together, before leaving the stage and letting the film begin.
