A man walked into a beauty salon with long, tangled hair and a thick, unkempt beard. The owner of the salon offered him food, but the man refused.
The only thing he wanted was to borrow a razor.
“Then we had an idea – all the employees of the salon decided to help him,” the owner said.
The homeless man’s name was Joao Coelho Guimarães, he was 45 years old and had been living on the streets for three years. He often passed by the salon collecting cans, but that day he decided to go in and ask for help.
The entire salon staff teamed up to trim and groom his hair and beard, a process that took two hours.
Everyone was so pleased with the result that they decided to post the photos on Instagram.
The photos spread across the Internet at incredible speed, and soon the tragic story of Joao’s life was revealed.
It turned out that he had not seen his family for 10 years and did not even know where they were.
But thanks to the story being shared across the country, his sister soon found out where her brother was. It turned out that the sister had been looking for him for 10 years, and even thought that her brother had died.
