Goldie Hawn’s Granddaughter Steals the Spotlight on the Red Carpet — and Everyone’s Noticing the Same Thing

Goldie Hawn turned heads at a recent red carpet event — but it wasn’t just her that caught fans’ attention. The beloved actress attended the Happy Gilmore 2 premiere in New York alongside her son, Oliver Hudson, and his family — including her rarely-seen 12-year-old granddaughter, Rio. And according to fans, there’s no denying one striking fact.

Goldie and Rio both stunned in matching floral dresses and showed off their bright blonde hair, radiating warmth and style as they posed together for photos. The resemblance between grandmother and granddaughter had fans doing a double take.

Oliver Hudson arrived at the premiere with his wife, Erinn Bartlett, and their three children: Wilder (17), Bodhi (15), and Rio (12), turning the star-studded occasion into a fun family night.

It seems show business runs in the family. All three kids appear to have inherited the acting gene. Oliver shared that both his sons are eager to follow in his footsteps. In fact, he’s already filmed a holiday movie for Netflix with Wilder, set to debut in November 2025. Bodhi, too, has roles lined up, with another Netflix project in the works.

And little Rio? She’s just as starry-eyed about being in front of the camera. When asked about seeing her dad on screen in a clip shared to Instagram, she sweetly replied, “I love my dad no matter what, but it’s really cool to watch my family on TV.” With a big grin, she added, “One day I want to be on TV.”

Her dad, Oliver, admitted that she’s a natural performer. “She’s an amazing dancer and loves being on stage,” he said. “We’re taking it slow — starting with theater.” Goldie, too, weighed in: “Honestly, I don’t think we have a choice. Just like with Kate — she was destined for it. I think Rio is too.” She added lovingly, “All I care about is that she’s happy.”

But what truly lit up social media was the uncanny resemblance between Goldie and Rio. Fans flooded the comments with admiration. One wrote, “She’s Goldie’s twin! Those genes are STRONG.” Another said, “That’s the famous Goldie smile — passed down to Kate, and now Rio.”

A wave of fans agreed: “Total mini me,” “Adorable,” and even, “She’s got the ‘it factor’ already — future Oscar winner for sure.”

From the looks of it, Hollywood may have another Hawn star in the making — and she’s already got the charm, the smile, and the legacy to match.
