Shirley MacLaine was spotted enjoying a relaxed lunch outing in Malibu this week shortly after celebrating her 92nd birthday.
The Hollywood icon visited her longtime favorite spot, Kristy’s Village Cafe near her Malibu home, on Wednesday, where she was joined by a mystery male companion.
Dressed casually in a purple cardigan layered over a blue T-shirt and black pants, the Oscar-winning actress appeared in good spirits as she spent time at Trancas Country Market. At one point, MacLaine was photographed holding onto her companion while heading back to her car.

It marked the second recent sighting of the legendary star in Malibu. Just weeks earlier, she was seen out in the upscale coastal community accompanied by an aide.
Despite being in her nineties, MacLaine continues to stay busy professionally, with several film projects currently in development.
Earlier this year, Deadline reported that the actress had signed on to portray Margret Rey — the co-creator of Curious George — in director Matthew Weiner’s upcoming film Margret and Stevie.
She also recently appeared alongside Ansel Elgort and Thomas Haden Church in the road-trip comedy Lucy Boomer, directed by Howard Deutch and based on a novel by Russell Hill.
MacLaine additionally filmed the indie drama People Not Places last summer, where she plays a widow named Clare, though a release date has not yet been announced.
The beloved actress was honored with a lifetime achievement award from the Dance Hall of Fame in Culver City last December, where she reflected on her lifelong passion for dance.
“My mother enrolled me in dance classes when I was three because I had weak ankles,” she shared during her speech. “Dance taught me discipline, teamwork, punctuality, and a love for music. I truly believe it’s why I’m still here today.”

MacLaine also described the recognition as one of the most meaningful honors of her career.
In a 2024 interview with CBS Sunday Morning, the actress spoke candidly about aging and death, admitting she isn’t afraid of what comes next.
“I’m actually curious about it,” she said, adding that she looks forward to discovering whether concepts like past lives and reincarnation are real.
The screen legend — and older sister of Warren Beatty — enjoyed high-profile romances throughout her life, including relationships with Robert Mitchum and French actor Yves Montand.

MacLaine was married to producer Steve Parker for 28 years before their divorce in 1982. Their daughter, Sachi Parker, later wrote a memoir about their relationship titled Lucky Me.
Over the decades, MacLaine built one of Hollywood’s most celebrated careers, earning acclaim for classics including The Apartment, Terms of Endearment, Steel Magnolias, and Postcards from the Edge.
After receiving five Academy Award nominations, she finally won an Oscar for her performance as Aurora Greenway in Terms of Endearment.
In addition to acting, MacLaine has written more than 20 books exploring memoir, spirituality, metaphysics, and reincarnation.
Throughout her extraordinary career, she has received numerous honors, including the Kennedy Center Honors and the AFI Life Achievement Award.
