The 22-year-old daughter of Michael Douglas and Catherine Zeta-Jones stepped out with her father, wearing her mother’s vintage dress.

Veteran Hollywood actor Michael Douglas, 81, made a rare public appearance in New York City alongside his daughter Carys Douglas, 22, from his marriage to Catherine Zeta-Jones. The father–daughter duo attended the PAC NYC Icons of Culture Gala, where Carys turned heads with both her poise and her fashion choice.

The young heiress paid tribute to her famous mother by wearing one of Catherine’s archival Valentino gowns—the same elegant black dress the Welsh actress first wore to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony in 2004. With her confident presence and striking resemblance to her mother, Carys proved that style and grace truly run in the family.

This is not the first time Carys has honored her mother’s glamorous past. On her 21st birthday last year, she recreated another of Catherine’s iconic looks—appearing in a pink Ungaro dress originally worn by the actress in 1999. The gesture delighted fans who have long admired the mother–daughter bond between the two.

Catherine Zeta-Jones, 56, and Michael Douglas, one of Hollywood’s most enduring power couples, have shared a life in the spotlight since their 2000 wedding. Interestingly, the pair share the same birthday, September 25. Their son, Dylan, was born in August 2000, followed by Carys in 2003. Despite facing challenges—including Catherine’s battle with bipolar disorder, which nearly led to divorce in 2013—the couple reconciled and have remained strong ever since.

Douglas is also father to Cameron Douglas, his son from his first marriage to Diandra Luker. Cameron, who served time for drug-related charges, has since turned his life around and recently became a father of two.

The evening at PAC NYC was a celebration not only of art and culture—but of family legacy and resilience.
