The Oscar winner has been making the rounds lately ahead of her return to the Hunger Games franchise in The Hunger Games: Sunrise on the Reaping, set for release in November 2026. Earlier this week, she appeared on Amy Poehler’s Good Hang podcast, where she was as unfiltered and funny as ever.
During the chat, Lawrence admitted she’s collected a whole lineup of nicknames over the years. Some are harmless, others… less so.
“Floffin, Nitro,” she listed casually, before revealing the one that tends to get the biggest reaction.
“Boobs,” she said bluntly. “Boobs Lawrence. The full government name.”
As if that wasn’t enough, she shared that her friends also love calling her “Ken,” inspired by Barbie. The nickname apparently comes out whenever she says something especially silly.
“They’re like, ‘She’s just Ken,’” Lawrence explained, adding that it’s basically their way of teasing her for sounding clueless.
The conversation also touched on body image, particularly after motherhood. Lawrence — who shares two sons with husband Cooke Maroney — joked about how uncomfortable photo shoots feel now.
“They’ll say, ‘We were thinking you wouldn’t wear a bra,’ and I’m like, ‘I’ve had two children,’” she laughed, clearly unimpressed.
She went on to speak more seriously about struggling with postpartum issues after her second child was born in 2025, explaining that she didn’t feel well despite appearing very thin at the time.
Lawrence also reflected on her childhood, revealing that “Nitro” came from her older brothers, who gave her the nickname because she was constantly hyper. Growing up, she dealt with social anxiety and often felt lonely, but credits her brothers for making her tougher and more resilient.
Despite the teasing — or maybe because of it — Lawrence’s candid humor and self-awareness remain a big part of why fans love her. Even with a handful of questionable nicknames, she’s clearly comfortable being exactly who she is.
