Eric Roberts, the older brother of Julia Roberts, made an uncommon red carpet appearance at the Los Angeles premiere of Clika on January 20.
Keeping things relaxed, the actor opted for a navy T-shirt layered under a black blazer, paired with grey jeans, black sneakers, and dark-framed glasses. He finished the look with his trademark swooped side-part hairstyle, proving he still favors a low-key, effortless style when stepping out.
The outing marked one of Eric’s few recent red carpet moments. Prior to this, he was last seen in November 2025, when he attended the Eternity premiere alongside his wife, Eliza Roberts.
Eric and Julia were born to actors Betty Lou Bredemus and Walter Grady Roberts, and their relationship has had its ups and downs over the years. In a candid 2018 interview, Eric admitted that his past struggles with drug use affected both his career and his family connections. Reflecting on his bond with Julia, he explained that while there was no single falling-out, his behavior at the time made relationships difficult.
“I was exhausting to be around,” he once said, acknowledging that those closest to him, including his sister, likely needed space. Despite this, the siblings eventually reconnected, sharing family moments such as holidays and later keeping in touch through emails.
Eric has also spoken openly about his belief that he helped open doors for Julia early in her career, while still embracing a bit of sibling rivalry over who found success first.
In recent years, however, he has been more reserved when discussing his famous sister. In 2024, he apologized in his memoir Runaway Train: Or the Story of My Life So Far for previously overstating his role in her success, signaling a more reflective chapter in their long and complex sibling story.
