Revealed: The Sad Reason Alexandra Daddario and Andrew Form’s Marriage Came to an End

The reason behind Alexandra Daddario’s split from husband Andrew Form has come to light following her divorce filing after three years of marriage.

The 39-year-old Mayfair Witches star married the 57-year-old producer in a lavish New Orleans ceremony in 2022. The couple share a one-year-old son together.

According to New York court records cited by TMZ, Daddario officially filed for divorce on Friday.

A source told the Daily Mail that although their romance began “hot and heavy,” the relationship gradually faded. The insider claimed the pair experienced a steady “loss of love,” largely due to increasingly separate work schedules that kept them apart.

Spending extended time away from one another reportedly became a turning point. Even welcoming a child didn’t fully bridge the growing distance, with the source alleging that their shared life slowly unraveled rather than ending in one dramatic moment.

“It wasn’t sudden,” the insider explained, describing it instead as a gradual emotional drift. Eventually, being apart reportedly felt easier than trying to repair the relationship, and both decided to move forward separately.

Despite the split, the two are said to be committed to maintaining a healthy co-parenting dynamic for their son, born in October 2024. The source added that while the romance burned brightly at the start, it faded just as quickly.

In a statement to People, a representative for Daddario said the decision was made “with love and respect,” adding that the pair will continue raising their child together and have requested privacy during this transition.

The former couple first met in 2020 during the COVID-19 pandemic while walking in New York City — a chance encounter Daddario later described in an interview with Vogue. After reconnecting for dinner, their romance quickly took off, leading to an engagement in August 2021 and a wedding the following June.

Following their marriage, Daddario also became stepmother to Form’s two children from his previous marriage to Jordana Brewster.

In past interviews, including one on Sunday Today, the actress shared her longtime desire for marriage and motherhood, saying that things “just clicked” when she met Form and describing him as “a wonderful person.” She also previously told E! News that he brought her peace amid the chaos of her career.

Over the years, the pair made only occasional public appearances together, most recently stepping out at The Kids Mental Health Foundation LA Committee Dinner and Celebration in Los Angeles last September.

Now, as they navigate life separately, both appear focused on co-parenting their son and moving ahead with mutual respect.
