Garner also clarified that although she hasn’t had surgery, she does occasionally visit a dermatologist. She described herself as a “pin cushion” during annual appointments, noting that subtle treatments can be so understated that you can barely tell anything was done — which, in her view, is kind of the point.
Importantly, she emphasized that she doesn’t judge others for making different choices. In her eyes, people who opt for cosmetic work look beautiful too — it’s all about personal preference.
Her candid comments come as her ex-husband, Ben Affleck, recently spoke about the challenges of raising their children in the public eye. He described having a famous family as “complicated” and said they’re careful not to pressure their kids toward Hollywood careers, wanting them to discover their own paths instead.
Garner and Affleck, who were married from 2005 to 2015 before finalizing their divorce in 2018, have maintained a supportive co-parenting relationship. While their younger children are focused on school, their eldest daughter, Violet, now attends Yale University and has become active in advocacy work.
