Benny Blanco revealed why Selena Gomez cried before their wedding.

It’s not a lack of hygiene that the star’s husband is now being criticized for.

Selena Gomez and Benny Blanco are back in the spotlight. The singer’s husband recently launched his new podcast, which has become memorable not so much for the music producer’s stories as for his dirty feet . Combined with his previous claims that he doesn’t shower every day, this has sparked a storm of outrage among the singer’s fans. Sympathetic fans are calling for Selena to file for divorce. Benny, of course, is trying to whitewash the situation, blaming the dirty floors in the studio, which weren’t ready for filming. Meanwhile, he shares personal stories from his life with the singer.

One of these occurred just before the wedding. Speaking to the host of “Jimmy Kimmel Live!”, Benny revealed that the wedding was preceded by a nerve-wracking moment that nearly ruined his and Selena’s celebration: a week before the wedding, the bride lost her wedding vows.

She cried because she couldn’t find them. And I found them right before the wedding! I wasn’t looking. I closed my eyes and handed them to her. I swear! I swear I wasn’t looking.

The music producer then joked that, upon discovering the loss, he appeared before 33-year-old Gomez as a hero.

“But how good was it? I looked so cool,” Blanco said. “It was the best thing I could have done. I was going to marry her, and then I found this.”

As a reminder, Selena Gomez married Benny Blanco in late September 2025 in a ceremony in Santa Barbara, California. According to the couple, “the wedding was quite modest and not at all like the lavish celebrity celebrations.”

Close friends and family gathered for the understated seaside event, which reportedly focused more on meaningful moments than spectacle. Instead of a star-studded guest list and over-the-top décor, the pair chose a warm, personal atmosphere that reflected their relationship — relaxed, creative, and centered on the people who matter most.
