Jessica Alba has reportedly learned an expensive lesson about prenuptial agreements following her high-value divorce from ex-husband Cash Warren finalized last month.
The actress-turned-entrepreneur, 44, first met Warren, 47, in 2004 while filming Fantastic Four, where he worked as a director’s assistant. The pair married in 2008 and spent 16 years together.

As part of the settlement, Warren is said to receive half of Alba’s residual earnings from projects completed during their marriage. This includes films like Sin City: A Dame to Kill For, for which she reportedly earned between $1 million and $2 million, along with other titles such as Valentine’s Day, Machete, Little Fockers, and Spy Kids: All the Time in the World.
However, Alba retains full rights to earnings from work completed before their marriage, including Fantastic Four, Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer, Never Been Kissed, and Honey.
Beyond her acting career, Alba co-founded The Honest Company in 2011, now valued at hundreds of millions. As part of the divorce terms, Warren will receive a significant number of shares in the company.

Asset division also includes Alba keeping personal belongings such as clothing, jewelry, multiple bank accounts, and vehicles, while jointly splitting shared items like furniture, artwork, and airline miles. Warren will retain his own luxury vehicle, and both will divide investments in companies including Popchips, WeWork, and others.
Reports also indicate Alba will pay Warren a $3 million settlement, split into two installments, though neither party will provide spousal or child support. The former couple shares joint custody of their children, Haven and Hayes, while their eldest, Honor, is preparing for college.

Since the split, both have moved on personally. Alba has been linked to actor Danny Ramirez, while Warren has been spotted with several younger companions.
Professionally, Alba remains busy with multiple upcoming film and television projects, as well as her continued work as a producer and businesswoman—proving that despite the costly divorce, her career momentum shows no signs of slowing.
