“She died peacefully with her loved ones by her side,” a representative for the star told PEOPLE
According to her representative, she died in Canada on February 26 after being diagnosed with breast cancer. She was surrounded by loved ones in her final moments. The statement described Fleming as “a beautiful soul” whose kindness, inspiration, and warmth left a lasting impression on those who knew her.
Her Supernatural co-star Jim Beaver, who played her on-screen husband, paid tribute on Facebook, recalling how they first met on set and discovered they both had daughters with identical names. He remembered her as full of energy and generosity, praising her infectious laugh and vibrant personality that seemed never to fade.

Born on August 16, 1974, in Digby, Nova Scotia, Fleming later relocated to British Columbia, where she studied drama at Victoria’s Kaleidoscope Theatre and the Kidco Theatre Dance Company. She began building her career with appearances in television shows such as Viper and films including Happy Gilmore, eventually becoming a familiar face in the horror and sci-fi television world.
Over the years, she appeared in genre projects like Masters of Horror, The Tooth Fairy, and Bloodsuckers. On Supernatural, she portrayed Karen Singer, the wife of Bobby Singer, before later taking on the role of Candy Baker in iZombie.
Fleming also performed on stage, with credits that included productions of Noises Off, Romeo and Juliet, and Steel Magnolias. Her television résumé spanned numerous popular series, including Supergirl, UnREAL, Continuum, The 4400, The L Word, Smallville, The Dead Zone, Stargate SG-1, and Secret Agent Man.
She is survived by her daughter, Madalyn Rose, as colleagues and fans remember her talent, warmth, and the memorable characters she brought to life.
