Chuck Norris left behind not only an iconic Hollywood legacy but also a substantial fortune built over decades in film, television, martial arts, and business. Following his passing at 86 after being hospitalized in Hawaii for an undisclosed medical emergency, tributes poured in from fans around the world. The star, best known for Walker, Texas Ranger and numerous action films, reportedly spent his final days at his longtime vacation home on the Hawaiian island of Kauai.
At the time of his death, Norris’ net worth was estimated at around $70 million. His wealth included an impressive portfolio of real estate, from luxury homes and ranches to a secluded island retreat. The fortune reflected decades of success in Hollywood, along with income from business ventures and martial arts enterprises.

Norris’ early acting salaries were modest compared to his later earnings. He reportedly earned about $10,000 for his 1976 debut Breaker! Breaker!, followed by $40,000 for Good Guys Wear Black. His pay rose to $125,000 for A Force of One and $250,000 for An Eye for an Eye. His income surged dramatically when he landed the lead role in Walker, Texas Ranger, where he reportedly earned $375,000 per episode across 203 episodes — far more than any other cast member.
Despite the lucrative salary, Norris later sued CBS in 2018, claiming the network owed him more than $30 million in profit participation tied to the show. His contract entitled him to a percentage of profits, but he alleged distribution and streaming deals were structured in ways that reduced his share. The case, involving revenue reportedly totaling hundreds of millions, was settled in 2023 for an undisclosed amount.
Over the years, Norris invested heavily in property. One of his most notable homes was a Dallas estate he shared with his brother during the filming of Walker, Texas Ranger. The property included four bedrooms, seven bathrooms, a private theater, gym, and even a small lake, along with a separate studio used for filming scenes from the show.

He also owned Lone Wolf Ranch in Navasota, Texas, a sprawling property with 17 bedrooms and 15 bathrooms. The ranch served as both a family retreat and the headquarters for the Norris family’s water company, CForce, which draws water from a natural aquifer beneath the land. The business grew into one of Texas’ largest privately owned bottling operations.
In 2015, Norris expanded his holdings with a $7 million purchase in Kauai — a 4,500-square-foot retreat known as Paradise Island Ranch. The three-bedroom, five-bathroom property became a peaceful getaway for the actor and his family and was ultimately where he spent his final days.
Norris is survived by his five children from two marriages. He wed Dianne Kay Holechek in 1958, and the couple had two sons before separating in 1989. He also had a daughter, Dina, from another relationship. In 1998, he married Gena O’Kelley, and together they welcomed twins Dakota and Danilee in 2001. His legacy now includes not only his impact on action cinema but also the sizable fortune and property empire he built over a lifetime.
