Sharon Stone has named the best kisser in Hollywood — and surprisingly, it’s not Michael Douglas.

The 68-year-old actress, known for her steamy scenes with Douglas in Basic Instinct, revealed her pick while discussing past co-stars on SiriusXM’s Andy Cohen Live on Wednesday.

Reflecting on her career, Stone singled out Robert De Niro, with whom she starred in Martin Scorsese’s 1995 crime classic Casino. Playing love interests Ginger McKenna and Sam “Ace” Rothstein, the duo shared a memorable on-screen kiss that Stone described as unforgettable.

“Oh my God. He’s the best kisser in the business,” she said. “He kissed me right out of my shoes.” She recalled a scene in which her character, needing to go to the bathroom, persuades De Niro’s Ace to give her money. After he initially hands her $50, she jokingly asks for more, and he ups it to $100 — prompting the unforgettable kiss.

Scorsese called cut, jokingly offering them another take, to which both actors agreed.

Stone also shared that working with De Niro had been a lifelong dream. She auditioned multiple times hoping to act alongside him and finally achieved that goal in Casino.

Speaking to Business Insider in August 2025, she said, “It was my dream to work with De Niro and hold my own.” She also praised both De Niro and co-star Joe Pesci for their professionalism, contrasting them with other actors who could be difficult on set.

“I’ve worked with some of the biggest stars who will literally talk through my close-up, telling me what they think I should do. They’re so misogynistic — now, that is not Robert De Niro. That is not Joe Pesci. That is not those guys,” she noted.

Stone’s revelation highlights not only her admiration for De Niro’s craft but also the lasting impact of genuine on-screen chemistry. Even decades later, the memory of that scene remains one of her most vivid career moments, proving that sometimes the smallest gestures — like a perfectly timed kiss — can leave the biggest impression.
