The actress known for both a wholesome TV family drama and a chilling horror classic was spotted out in Los Angeles, turning heads in a stylish ensemble.
Best known as Annie Camden on 7th Heaven, the heartwarming series about a pastor’s family led by Stephen Collins, she also starred in the horror hit Child’s Play, playing a mother who unknowingly gives her son a doll possessed by a serial killer. Early in her career, she earned critical acclaim and an Emmy nomination for portraying Marilyn Monroe.

Now 74, Catherine Hicks has stepped away from acting, choosing to focus on her family life. On Monday, she was seen running errands with her husband Kevin Yagher, looking radiant in a vibrant red top with her hair elegantly styled.
Hicks enjoyed a prolific career, including roles in Peggy Sue Got Married, She’s Out of Control, Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home, and of course 7th Heaven, where she played Stephen Collins’ on-screen wife from 1996 to 2007.

Though fans have long hoped for a reboot of 7th Heaven, Hicks has insisted any revival could only work without Collins, whose career collapsed in 2014 following revelations of inappropriate conduct with minors. She even jokingly suggested that a reboot would have to “open with Stephen’s coffin.” In 2023, she firmly rejected reviving the show, saying, “No, no. The kids grew up and Stephen’s gone. Let it go.”

Having left Hollywood, Hicks now dedicates herself fully to her daughter, explaining, “I don’t act anymore… I wasn’t there for my real daughter, and now I’m home for my real daughter. It’s really fulfilling.”

These days, Hicks seems content living a quieter life away from the spotlight, embracing the role she once played on screen — but for real. While fans still remember her as the warm-hearted TV mom and horror-film heroine, she appears happiest focusing on family, proving that stepping away from Hollywood can sometimes lead to the most rewarding chapter of all.
