Arnold Schwarzenegger’s son Christopher stuns with thinnest frame yet after dramatic weight loss

Christopher Schwarzenegger turned heads in Malibu, looking slimmer and more toned than ever.

The 28-year-old son of Arnold Schwarzenegger and Maria Shriver sported a navy crewneck sweatshirt and off-white joggers, with his sculpted physique visible even beneath the loose-fitting casual attire. Observers also noted his strong resemblance to his father, the seven-time Mr. Olympia winner, as well as his bodybuilding half-brother, Joseph Baena.

Christopher’s transformative weight loss journey began in 2019 while living in Australia. Realizing that his excess weight was holding him back from fully enjoying life, he committed to a lifestyle overhaul. Over five years, he shed 250 pounds through a combination of healthy eating and regular exercise, which included weight training, boxing, and hiking.

“It was a big process,” Christopher told host Jeff Beacher at the Beacher Vitality’s Happy & Healthy Summit in Los Angeles last year, alongside speakers like Dr. Robert Huizenga and Kelly Osbourne. “I just saw how much my weight was prohibiting me from doing everyday activities. I wanted to go skydiving, and my friends said, ‘No way,’ because I couldn’t.”

Christopher, a University of Michigan psychology graduate, recalled struggling with body image issues as early as high school. “I tried everything—meal delivery plans and all that—and I remember feeling like a weirdo bringing unusual lunches to school,” he said. He emphasized that his weight loss wasn’t instant, describing it as a process of trial and error in refining both diet and workouts.

Last year, he shared that giving up bread for Lent alone helped him drop 30 pounds, though he still sees his journey as ongoing. “Even now… when people talk about before-and-after photos, I don’t feel like I’m at the ‘after’ point yet,” he admitted.

His family has openly celebrated his transformation. Over Thanksgiving 2025, his sister Katherine Schwarzenegger posted pictures of Christopher showing off his muscular frame, remarking, “So much to be thankful for,” alongside a heart emoji — highlighting both his progress and the striking resemblance to his half-brother Joseph.
