Sabrina Carpenter stunned fans with a dramatic transformation in a series of new cover images for Perfect magazine’s latest issue, appearing almost unrecognizable with dark brunette hair instead of her usual blonde. The 26-year-old star switched up her signature look in photos shot by Bryce Anderson, debuting multiple bold styles across several covers.
In one shot, Carpenter wore a sleek, long deep-brown wig with face-framing bangs, paired with heavy mascara and a glossy black manicure while locking eyes with the camera. Another image showed her with darker hair styled into short, loose curls. She highlighted her toned midriff in a red-and-white plaid shirt tied at the front, matched with fringed white hot pants.

The “House Tour” singer also embraced a more provocative aesthetic in a bridal-inspired look, posing in a white wedding dress and veil with a cigarette hanging from her lips. Her makeup featured dramatic, smudged eyeliner that added to the edgy feel of the shoot. In yet another striking photo, she wore a pale pink mini dress reminiscent of the 1960s, lounging on a retro beige couch with teased strawberry-blonde curls. The image captured a moody expression, smoky eye makeup, and a handbag tossed on the floor for a cinematic effect.
A fifth cover showed Carpenter in a long-sleeved black dress, crouched low as she posed playfully while licking her knee. Reflecting on the Katie Grand–styled shoot, the singer explained that the concept allowed her to experiment with styles she wouldn’t typically try, including numerous wigs, bold makeup choices, and unconventional silhouettes.

The photos arrive after Carpenter released her album Man’s Best Friend last August. The project earned her six nominations at the 2026 Grammy Awards, though she ultimately didn’t take home any trophies. Her hugely successful Short n’ Sweet tour wrapped at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles in November 2025 after launching in September 2024 and spanning 72 shows.
During her conversation with designer Marc Jacobs for the magazine, Carpenter also teased her upcoming headlining performances at Coachella, describing them as the most ambitious shows she has ever created. She revealed that, unlike previous tours, she’s had months to carefully plan the concept, calling the process a long but exciting journey and promising fans that the result will be something truly special.
