Offset has been hospitalized after reportedly being shot near a casino in Florida, though he is said to be in stable condition. The 34-year-old performer — whose real name is Kiari Kendrell Cephus — was injured close to the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Hollywood, according to reports. A representative confirmed the shooting but emphasized that the rapper is “stable” and under close medical observation, with the full extent of his injuries still unclear.

Authorities stated that the incident occurred shortly after 7 p.m. in the valet area outside the venue. Police quickly secured the scene, and the injured individual was transported to a nearby hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Two people were detained, and officials confirmed that the situation was contained, posing no ongoing danger to the public while the investigation continues.

Footage shared online appeared to show officers restraining two men near the entrance following the shooting. Witnesses said Offset had been near the valet area taking a phone call when fans approached him. He reportedly greeted supporters and posed for photos just minutes before gunfire erupted. Images captured shortly beforehand even showed the rapper smiling and interacting with fans.
The incident comes more than three years after the tragic death of fellow Takeoff, Offset’s groupmate from Migos, who was fatally shot outside a Houston bowling alley in November 2022. The loss led to the group’s breakup, with Offset and Quavo pursuing solo careers afterward.

Offset has since continued releasing music, including his solo albums Father of 4, Set It Off, and Kiari, while also collaborating with other artists. Outside of music, he has drawn attention for his on-and-off relationship with Cardi B, with whom he shares three children. Despite the frightening incident, reports indicate the rapper is recovering as authorities work to determine what led to the shooting.
