Kylie Jenner faced heavy criticism online after sharing a playful gratitude list on Instagram that many fans felt placed material things above her two children.
The 28-year-old reality star posted a mirror selfie to her Instagram Stories on Thursday with a list of things she was thankful for written across the image. The list included coffee, Kris Jenner, spray tans, a Birkin handbag wall, “King Kylie,” her children Stormi and Aire, Kylie Cosmetics, poker nights, her cat, and several other personal favorites.
Jenner shares daughter Stormi, 8, and son Aire, 4, with former partner Travis Scott. Critics quickly reacted after screenshots of the post spread online, with many questioning why her children appeared midway down the list rather than at the top.
Social media users expressed frustration, with some saying children should naturally come first on any gratitude list, while others accused Jenner of being tone-deaf by ranking luxury items such as spray tans and handbags ahead of her kids. A number of commenters suggested she only included them to avoid backlash.
The reaction comes shortly after Jenner also drew criticism over photos of her pet cat, with some followers accusing her of treating the animal more like a fashion accessory than a pet. The images showed Kylie holding the white-and-grey cat in a series of casual snaps, prompting debate about her treatment of animals and questions about the whereabouts of dogs she has previously owned.
Some commenters also criticized the breed of cat, noting concerns about the health issues commonly associated with Scottish Fold cats.
Despite the controversy, Jenner has remained active in both business and personal ventures. She recently promoted a new Kylie Cosmetics launch with glamorous campaign images and has also listed her Hidden Hills mansion for $20.25 million.
The luxury estate spans more than 13,000 square feet and includes eight bedrooms, a home theater, gym, massage room, game room, pool, spa, and a separate guest suite. Jenner purchased the property in 2016 for just over $12 million and has since transformed it into a family-oriented retreat.
Meanwhile, her relationship with actor Timothée Chalamet continues to attract attention. The couple first sparked romance rumors in 2023 and have since become one of Hollywood’s most talked-about pairings. Earlier this year, Chalamet publicly referred to Jenner as his “partner of three years” during an awards speech, further fueling headlines about their relationship.
