Charlize Theron, 50, shares her easy 10-minute trick to staying young looking and it can cost as little as $50

Charlize Theron has revealed a surprisingly simple beauty habit she credits for maintaining her youthful appearance at age 50 — and it reportedly costs as little as $50.

The Apex actress said she has been using a red light therapy mask for the past two years and believes it has delivered better results than traditional skincare products like creams or lotions. Red light masks typically work by using low-level light wavelengths to stimulate the skin, encouraging collagen and elastin production, with sessions usually recommended for 10–20 minutes several times a week.

Speaking on the Will and Woody podcast, Theron joked about her routine, saying “red light” was her main secret, before humorously adding, “and the blood of a 19-year-old.” She explained that she often uses the mask even after finishing work, saying she has become “obsessed” with it because it’s one of the few treatments where she can visibly see a difference.

She also noted that her approach to beauty is consistent but simple, especially in the evenings after her children go to bed, when she follows a dedicated skincare ritual involving cleansing, masks, and occasional high-tech devices. In the morning, she focuses mainly on washing off products and applying sunscreen.

Theron also highlighted that her routine includes both skincare and lifestyle habits, pointing to regular Pilates and yoga as key parts of her overall wellness. She added that if she were ever stranded somewhere, she would prioritize essentials like SPF, moisturizer, and lip balm over anything else.
