Ann-Margret made her first public appearance since suffering a frightening fall at her home earlier this year. The 84-year-old Hollywood legend attended a recent USO event at the Margaret Herrick Library, where she was honored for her long-standing support and “legacy of service.”
The screen icon appeared in high spirits and looked stylish as ever, wearing a bright lime-green coat, embroidered black boots, and purple-tinted sunglasses. With her signature red hair worn loose, Ann-Margret appeared to be recovering well after the accident that left her with a broken elbow.

The actress, best known for starring opposite Elvis Presley in Viva Las Vegas, recently revealed that the injury occurred after a fall at home. Speaking candidly about the incident, she explained that she fractured her right elbow, forcing her to cancel a planned autograph appearance. Despite the setback, the veteran performer maintained her trademark optimism, saying she has learned throughout life to simply “get up” and begin again after difficult moments.

Ann-Margret also shared that the injury has not stopped her from staying active. While her workouts have been adjusted to accommodate her recovery, she continues exercising regularly with the help of a personal trainer who keeps her motivated and moving forward.

The beloved actress is expected to return to the spotlight later this month at the 2026 Chita Rivera Awards in New York, where she will receive a Lifetime Achievement Award celebrating her decades-long career in entertainment.

A major star of the 1960s and 1970s, Ann-Margret became famous through films such as Bye Bye Birdie, Carnal Knowledge, Tommy, and Grumpy Old Men. Alongside her successful acting career, she also enjoyed success as a singer and performer, remaining a beloved figure in Hollywood for more than six decades.
