Pregnant Natalie Portman, 44, offered fans a rare look at her peaceful life in Paris after leaving Hollywood behind for France more than a decade ago amid a growing wave of celebrities relocating overseas.
The Oscar-winning actress, who is expecting her third child, shared a collection of candid Instagram photos on Thursday documenting recent moments from her life in the French capital.
“Paris lately,” Portman captioned the post, which featured snapshots from her everyday adventures. The actress is among several stars — including Angelina Jolie, Pamela Anderson, and George Clooney — who have traded life in the United States for France in recent years.

The carousel opened with a makeup-free selfie beside the River Seine, followed by an artistic nighttime image showing her silhouette illuminated by blue light. She also included photos of her dog, a bouquet of flowers, famous artwork, and even a Malayan tapir.
Portman relocated to Paris in 2014 with her then-husband, choreographer Benjamin Millepied, after he accepted a role with the Paris Opera Ballet.

In recent years, France has become increasingly popular among Hollywood stars seeking more privacy and a slower pace of life — a trend some have nicknamed “Frollywood.”
Clooney and his wife Amal even applied for French citizenship last year, saying their twins Ella and Alexander enjoy a far more grounded upbringing there.
“I was worried about raising our kids in Los Angeles and in Hollywood culture,” Clooney explained. “In France, people don’t really care about fame.”
Portman’s personal life has also changed significantly since her move abroad. She and Millepied separated in 2023 and finalized their divorce the following year after reports surfaced that he had allegedly been involved with climate activist Camille Etienne.

The actress shares two children with Millepied — son Aleph, 14, and daughter Amalia, nine.
She has since found love again with French music producer Tanguy Destable, 45, with whom she is now expecting her third child. Destable also has two sons from his previous relationship with actress Louise Bourgoin.
Portman confirmed her pregnancy last month in an interview with Harper’s Bazaar.
“Tanguy and I are very excited,” she said. “I feel incredibly grateful. I know having a child is both a privilege and a miracle.”
As the daughter of a fertility doctor, Portman said she grew up understanding how difficult pregnancy can be for many people.

“I know so many people who’ve struggled with it,” she explained. “That’s why I never take it for granted. I’m deeply appreciative and aware of how fortunate I am.”
The actress has also spoken openly about how much she values privacy while living in Paris, especially when it comes to protecting her children from the spotlight.
“I’m not going to do photo shoots with my kids,” she previously told Interview magazine, explaining that setting clear boundaries helped her maintain a more private family life.
Portman was last seen publicly in January at the 2026 Sundance Film Festival alongside Jenna Ortega and Charli xcx.
The actress said she’s embracing this stage of her life with gratitude and calmness.

“There’s a confidence and clarity that comes with age,” Portman shared. “I know who I want around me and how I want to spend my time, and that makes life feel beautiful every day.”
She also revealed she’s staying active during her pregnancy through swimming and gyrotonics, while prioritizing quality time with her children.
“My kids are always the most exciting part of life,” she said. “Watching them grow into who they are is incredible.”
